Hearst Newspapers took home multiple INMA Global Media Awards, including Best Initiative to Grow Subscriptions and Best Use of AI for Internal Productivity. San Antonio Express-News was recognized in the Best New Video Product category for “Ron from the Car,” and Hearst Newspapers’ DevHub received an honorable mention for Best Innovation in Newsroom Transformation for the C2P Program.

Fitch Ratings was named Ratings Provider of the Year in Private Equity Wire’s European Credit Awards, and the team kept its streak going by winning the Islamic Finance Rating Agency of the Year Award for the eighth year in a row! King Features cartoonist Hilary B. Price, known for her work on Rhymes With Orange, was honored at the 78th annual Reuben Awards as Outstanding Cartoonist of the Year. The prestigious accolade is a testament to Price's exceptional talent and creativity.

Harper’s BAZAAR Editor-in-Chief Samira Nasr was named Editor of the Year at Harlem Fashion Row’s 2024 Style Awards. Harlem Fashion Row credited Nasr as “a visionary who has transformed the pages of Harper’s BAZAAR, making fashion a space for everyone.”

Hearst's SVP of Treasury and Risk Management and Founder and Chairman of Level Up Ventures Carlton Charles was recognized as a Champion for Diversity Initiatives by the New York Urban League and was featured in PitchBook’s Black Investors to Know in 2024 for his efforts to close the wealth gap through early-stage investments in Black- and Latino-led startups.

ELLE’s Editor-in-Chief Nina Garcia was a Matrix Honoree at the New York Women in Communications Matrix Awards.

“If we at ELLE can help in any way, then we’re going to use every single platform we have at our disposal to lift and empower women,” Nina said in her acceptance speech.

Sustainable Fitch has ascended to the ranks of the top five largest global Second Party Opinion (SPO) providers ranked by Environmental Finance. Since launching in 2022, Sustainable Fitch has grown its market share eightfold.

The Hearst Newspapers Community Group earned several awards, including a posthumous award to Ron DeBrock of the Alton Telegraph for Editor of the Year, an Illinois Press Association Lifetime Achievement award for Jacksonville Journal Courier Editor and Publisher David Bauer, a runner-up award for Best Newspaper of the Year for the Manistee News Advocate and first place in Overall Excellence for Special Publications for Beaumont Enterprise. In all, the Community Group brought in 106 awards from first to third place for photography, investigative reporting and feature writing.

ESPN scored a Best in Show win in the broadcasting division at the National Headliner Awards for the E:60 episode “Sacred Dog,” the story of a Native American family preserving their history and culture through the sport of Indian Relay.

Hearst Television was honored with the Library of American Broadcasting Foundation’s Excellence in Broadcast Preservation Award, recognizing our outstanding dedication and commitment to preserving broadcast history through the creation of an extensive video archive representing decades of Hearst Television.

For its news coverage of an atmospheric river slamming the Central Coast, KSBW-TV, Monterey/Salinas, CA won a regional Emmy Award in the Outstanding Achievement: Newscast-Smaller Markets category.

Another one, thank you! WBAL-TV, Baltimore, MD were on an awards roll, winning two National Headliner Awards, three Regional Edward Murrow Awards and three Capital Emmys for their reporting work.

Hearst Television stations won a total of 49 Emmy Awards, one national and 48 regional, and 24 regional Edward R. Murrow awards. Among the winners, WESH-TV (Orlando, FL), WBAL-TV (Baltimore, MD) and KETV (Omaha, NE) won the coveted Overall Excellence categories. WBBH-TV (Fort Myers/Naples, FL) won a National Edward R. Murrow Award for Best Newscast — its sixth national Murrow in four years.

In March, Hearst Executive Vice President and COO Jordan Wertlieb was presented with the Golden Mic Award by the Broadcasters Foundation of America. Jordan was toasted by Hearst Television President Michael J. Hayes and former Hearst Television President David Barrett, as well as his son, Blake Wertlieb, for his outstanding leadership, dedication to broadcasting and to serving our communities. Congratulations, Jordan!

Hearst Television was designated a VETS Indexes 5 Star Employer, recognizing our commitment to recruiting, developing and supporting veterans and the military-connected community.

Record-setting ratings: Nine out of 10 Hearst Television’s major weekday newscasts ranked No. 1 or No. 2 in the key measurement of household impressions — a new high for HTV! Compared to last June, HTV’s reach for June 2024 was 11.23 million — up nearly 8%!

KCRA-TV, Sacramento, CA won a Gracie Award for Local TV Documentary, with a distinction of the Grand Award, which signifies a distinct level of achievement and acknowledges extraordinary talent, dedication and production.

Eight Hearst Television stations were honored with 11 National Headliner Awards.

FDB was recognized as a Top Workplace for 2024 in central Indiana by the Indianapolis Star for the eighth consecutive year! FDB was also recognized as a San Francisco Bay Area Top Workplace by the San Francisco Chronicle. FDB colleagues praised the supportive, people-first company culture.

ESPN achieved record-breaking viewership for the matchup between Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever vs. the Chicago Sky on June 16, with an audience of 2.4 million, the highest for a WNBA game in 23 years. The 2024 WNBA postseason averaged 1.1M viewers, making it the most-viewed WNBA postseason in 25 years.

Esquire won two New York Press Journalism Awards: Feature Reporting – Sports – National Magazine for “The Burden of Aaron Judge” and Food Writing – Magazine for the feature essay “The Unbearable Costs of an Extraordinary Meal.”

Marketing excellence: Hearst Networks EMEA channel COSMO was once again acknowledged by the prestigious Global Entertainment Marketing Academy for its creative marketing work, winning two Gold GEMAs for its 8 Illustrations for 8M campaign and a Silver GEMA recognizing the campaign for the short film Los Chicos.

Colleagues in New York City rose to the challenge — the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge with 162 participating. The 3.5 mile race serves as a catalyst for combining work and wellness, encouraging colleagues to connect while getting in movement and raising funds.

ESPN reached a landmark 11-year extension with the NBA and WNBA for the leagues’ media rights, continuing its longstanding position as the primary media rights partner of both leagues, as well as the exclusive home of the NBA’s crown jewel event, the NBA Finals.

Women’s Health’s Forces of Fitness feature project received Silver recognition at the Anthem Awards, which honors media projects that aim to amplify causes relating to diversity, equity or inclusion. The project featured six female cover stars changing fitness for the better.
